The redesigned 2019 Santa Fe's new, aggressively structured front-end will attract even the reluctant "family vehicle" shopper. Sharply angled daytime running lights perch above the inset headlamps to give the new Santa Fe a bold, fierce appearance.

Inside, we find attractive interior upgrades including richly textured seats, a dual-cockpit dashboard that flows into the door panels and streamlined windshield pillars that offer better outward viewing.

Phoenix-area SUV shoppers will appreciate the added space in this new 2019 Santa Fe. Almost three inches longer and about two-and-a-half inches wider, the new Santa Fe offers an extra 3.9 cubic feet of interior volume. Back seat passengers will also be treated to more headroom and a better view thanks to the redesigned shape. The diesel-equipped 2019 Santa Fe (not XL) will also offer an optional "occasional use" third-row seating package.

Those looking at the new 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe in Peoria will find an abundant set of convenience, safety and infotainment features ranging from easier passenger entry mechanisms and twin front and back USB ports to Rear Seat Occupant Alert and Safe Exit Assist. The former will alert you about rear-seat passengers or pets to ensure nobody gets left behind in the vehicle - an important safety feature for Phoenix-area drivers. The latter is designed to prevent anyone from colliding with oncoming 4- or 2-wheeled traffic while exiting the vehicle. More tech features include three complimentary years of Blue Link service, offering up remote start, climate control, enhanced roadside assist and more. Blue Link is easily paired with your smartphone app, Amazon Alexa, or Google Assistant in addition to offering onboard controls. An optional heads-up display feature projects vehicle systems status onto the windshield, along with vital information like the current posted speed limit.

While the 2019 Santa Fe will keep its current gas engine options of a 185-horsepower 2.4-liter or turbocharged 235-horsepower 2.0-liter, you can also opt for an available 2.2-liter, 200-horsepower turbo diesel that produces 320 pound-feet of torque. All will now be paired with a newly designed eight-speed automatic transaxle transmission.
