Why Do You Need Tire Rotation?

Whether you've been driving your car for years or have a long commute to work, you'll need to have your tires rotated eventually. There are a few reasons why this practice can improve the function of your car.

The main reason your tires need to be rotated is so that your car will be level. Your front tires endure much more pressure and stress than the tires on the rear of the car. This means that these tires are more likely to flatten or wear out. So, taking the tires from the back of the car and putting them on the front helps to extend the life of your tires. After you rotate the tires a few times, however, it's time to purchase a new set of tires altogether.

When you take your car in for a tuneup, be sure to ask the mechanic to check your tires to ensure that there are no holes or tears that need to be repaired right away. This will increase your chances of being safe on the road in between tire changes.
